How do I get credit for buyers PepReviewPro sends me?
Updated · Integrations
Insights credits an order to PepReviewPro or a partner when the order says where its buyer came from. On a store that isn't on WordPress, the SDK carries that from the first page to checkout.
Record where shoppers land
Call captureAttribution() from @pepreviewpro/browser once on every page load. In React, <PepReviewProProvider> calls it for you. On the first landing with prp_click_id, a UTM tag, or a referrer from another site, it saves a first-party cookie, prp_attribution. The first touch wins.
Every link we send to your store carries prp_click_id, and that is what we match the order by. See where your buyers come from
Mark reviews as seen
The React widgets mark your reviews as seen when half of one is on screen. If you show reviews your own way, call trackReviewsSeen(element). It saves the time in a prp_reviews_seen cookie. An order placed within 7 days of that counts as one from a buyer who saw your reviews.
Send it with the order
Pass the checkout request to prp.orders.upsert(order, { request }). The SDK reads both cookies, the buyer's IP address, and their user agent from it. We keep the IP address and user agent only as a one-way hash.
If checkout runs on another domain, send readCheckoutContext() from the browser with the checkout request, and pass it to orders.upsert as context.
Tell the Connection card
Declare what your store does, so the Connection card is complete:
new PepReviewPro({ store: "your-store-slug", heartbeat: { capabilities: ["orders", "attribution", "reviewsSeen"] } });
Without attribution, the card warns that Insights will undercount.
Privacy
Nothing is written when the browser sends Global Privacy Control, and the server reads nothing from that request. Pass consent to wait for your cookie banner.
