Why does the plugin say it isn't connected?

Updated · WordPress plugin

The Connection card on the WordPress page shows where your plugin stands. Select Check connection for a live answer.

Not connected

The plugin has never checked in. Install it and paste an API key, and it connects on its own. How do I install the WordPress plugin?

Not responding

The plugin connected before but isn't answering now. Check that it is still active in WordPress.

Plugin is off

Your WordPress site is up, but PepReviewPro is deactivated or deleted there. In WordPress, open Plugins and select Activate under PepReviewPro. If it isn't listed, download it again and install it. How do I install the WordPress plugin?

Wrong address

No WordPress site answers at the address we have. This happens when a store moves to a new domain or to a separate storefront. Email support@pepreviewpro.com with the new address and we will update it.

Blocked

Your site refused our status check. The block comes from your site, not your API key. The usual causes:

  • A security plugin that requires a login for the whole REST API.
  • A password wall or private store page in front of every visitor.
  • HTTP basic auth, Cloudflare, or a firewall rule that blocks server requests.

Let the pepreviews/v1 route through without a login. Orders, reviews, and widgets keep working meanwhile.

Update needed

Your plugin version can't connect. Download the new one and install it. How do I update the WordPress plugin?

Start over

Select Reconnect or Set up WordPress to walk through a fresh install with a new key. If you revoked the key the plugin was using, it stops syncing until it gets a new one.
