See how you show up on Google

Updated · Getting started

SEO, in the sidebar, shows how your store does on Google. There is nothing to set up.

Where the numbers come from

Every figure comes from Google Search Console, through PepReviewPro's own property. They describe your page on PepReviewPro, not your own site.

Google reports each day about three days later, so the newest day on the page is about three days old.

The four figures

Pick Last 28 days, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, or Last 16 months at the top of the page. Each figure shows its change against the period before, when Google has figures for it.

  • Clicks counts the times someone clicked your result.
  • Impressions counts the times your result appeared in a search.
  • Click rate is the share of impressions that became clicks.
  • Position is your average place in the results. Lower is better.

When people search your name is your page's average position for searches that include your store's name. Google leaves out rare searches, so a store with few searches for its name may not have a figure yet.

Shown with your rating is the share of impressions where the result showed your stars.

Searches that found you lists the top searches, most clicks first. Google leaves out rare searches, so these add up to less than the total.

How Google shows you

The preview shows your result as Google could show it, built from your page's real title and description. Your store's name is in bold, the way Google bolds the words someone searched. Under it you'll see whether Google has indexed the page and found your rating.

If your Public store page is off in Branding, Google cannot show your page, and the preview is all the page shows.

Where your stars can appear

Google shows ratings on product pages and on review sites. It does not show a store's own rating on the store's own home page, even when a widget puts it there. So your PepReviewPro page can show stars, and so can product pages that carry a widget for that product. Your home page will not. How do I add a review widget to my site?
