How do I connect a store that isn't on WordPress?
Updated · Integrations
The SDK connects a store built on any stack, such as Next.js or React. Your server sends us your orders, and your pages show your reviews.
Create a store key
- In the sidebar, under Widgets, open Integrations.
- Open the Next.js or React tab.
- Under Store key, select Create key.
- Copy the key from Copy your store key. It shows only this once.
A store key starts with sk_live_. It is secret and belongs on your server only. Never put it in browser code or in a NEXT_PUBLIC_ variable. Store keys have the per-second limit only, with no monthly quota. What are the API limits?
Install the SDK
The Install card shows the command for your tab. Then run npx pepreviewpro init in your project. It asks for your key and your store, checks the key with PepReviewPro, and saves PEPREVIEWPRO_API_KEY and PEPREVIEWPRO_STORE to .env.local once you say yes.
npx pepreviewpro doctor checks each part of the setup. It also scans your build for a key that should not be there.
Send your orders
Review requests and verified purchases both come from your orders. Send each one from your checkout. Send orders from your checkout
See it connected
The Connection card at the top of the Integrations page shows Connected with the SDK once the SDK checks in. init checks in right away, and the server package checks in once a day after that. The card lists what your store reported it does, and it warns when something stops:
- The SDK hasn't checked in for 3 days.
- No orders have arrived in 3 days, on a store whose orders fall on at least 20 of the 28 days before its latest one.
- The SDK doesn't report attribution, so Insights undercounts the buyers we send you. Get credit for buyers PepReviewPro sends you
When orders or a catalog reach us through the API with no SDK, the card shows Connected with the API.
Only want widgets
The HTML tab points to the HTML code in the widget gallery. It shows your reviews on any site, but it doesn't send orders. How do I add a review widget to my site?
