What does the Verified purchase badge mean?
Updated · For shoppers
The badge means we matched the review to a real purchase from that store. It is the clearest sign a review came from a buyer.
What the badge means
We found the reviewer's order with that store, or their email among the store's customers with orders. The review also came from that buyer's own inbox.
Reviews without the badge
A review without the badge couldn't be matched to an order. It is never published automatically, but the store can still choose to publish it. To see matched reviews alone, turn on Verified only on the store's page.
Who decides
We do. Stores can't add the badge to a review we couldn't match, and they can't edit a review's words or star rating.
Every review is screened
Every review is also checked for compliance before it appears. What does compliance screening remove?
