How is the PepReviewPro score calculated?

Updated · For shoppers

The score on a store's page is an average of its published reviews. Some reviews count more than others, so the score is hard to game.

What counts more

  • Verified reviews count in full. A review we couldn't match to an order counts 50% as much.
  • Newer reviews count more. A review counts half as much after 12 months, and half again after 24.

Why a new store doesn't start at 5.0

Every store starts with 5 reviews of 3.5 stars that no one wrote. A store with two 5-star reviews scores well, but not perfectly. As real reviews arrive, those starting reviews matter less and less.

What the words mean

Excellent is 4.3 and up. Great is 3.8 to 4.2. Average is 3.0 to 3.7. Poor is 2.0 to 2.9. Bad is below 2.0.

The bars and the count

The bars under the score count every published review as written. Each review keeps its own star rating. Select a bar to see only reviews with that many stars.
