Why is a review still pending?
Updated · Verification and publishing
Pending means a review isn't published and isn't flagged. It goes live when it qualifies for automatic publishing, or when you approve it.
Automatic publishing
Publish verified reviews automatically is on for every store unless you turn it off. To change it, open Settings under Store in the sidebar, then select Save changes.
With it on, a review goes live by itself when all of these are true:
- It came from your review request email, or its author confirmed it from their email.
- It matched an order or customer, so it carries Verified purchase.
- It passed compliance screening.
Approve it yourself
In Reviews, open the review's menu and select Approve. To approve several at once, select them and choose Approve.
Only reviews that passed compliance screening can be published. Any that didn't stay unpublished, and you'll see how many.
Waiting on the author
A review written on your store page or in a widget starts with an email asking its author to confirm it. Until they do, it can't be matched to an order or published automatically. The link in that email never expires. Reviews from your review request emails skip this step.
